UGREEN 130W USB-C Car Charger

I needed a 40 watt charger with enough extra power to also charge my phone. This delivered!! Though I recommend you purchase through Amazon. The company sells these there as well and they are a lot cheaper and you have Amazon delivery speeds. But the product is quality.

Unfortunately it seems to be struggling to charge my iPhone 16 pro max.
I haven’t replace it yet but I am back to using a battery back up.

This is my review of the Ugreen 130 W USB-C car charger, SKU 90889. I connected my laptop to the Ugreen car charger's USB-C2 port, which is rated for 100 W, and let the laptop charge via my car's 12-volt accessory socket. I confirmed in my laptop's diagnostic program that it was getting the 100 W it was requesting, but after just a couple minutes operating that way, I pulled the charger out and found the small metal tip was so hot it could burn skin. I put a thermometer to it and measured 130 degrees F, but it must have been even hotter than that because I couldn't get the thermometer to make good contact. I discontinued use for fear that sustained high temperatures could melt my car's accessory port. My conclusion is that this car charger is a poorly designed product. The tip is too small and makes inadequate contact with the accessory socket. The resistance at the tip is too high, and drawing 100-130 W from a 12-volt source demands too much current and produces too much heat. The Thermal Guard temperature control advertised on the box would seem to be incapable of detecting high temperatures near the tip. There may also be internal resistance contributing to the heating at the tip. I would not recommend using this charger at 100 W or higher from a 12-volt source. At a lower power draw or from a 24-volt source it might be fine.

Asking me what I think of a product I have yet to receive

Excellent product. Fast charging. Fast shipping and they kept me notified during shipment of each tracking event (which is unusual these days).
